Hydrogen gas turbine

The hydrogen gas turbine is independently developed by the German returnee technical development team led by the high-level overseas professional, Lin Gang. It is a hydrogen-fueled gas turbine with the dry low NOx combustor. Marvel-Tech has developed the triple-fuel dry low NOx combustor with the zero carbon emissions. The combustor can switch the fuels, hydrogen, ammonia and natural gas, without changing the combustion system hardware. It has been successfully equipped with the hydrogen-fueled gas turbine developed by Marvel-Tech. The dry low NOx combustion technology is compatible with hydrogen carriers such as high-pressure hydrogen, liquid hydrogen, liquid organic hydrides, ammonia, methanol and industrial by-product hydrogen, providing an important technical path for China's carbon-neutral development.

At present, there is no technology in China to realize the dry low NOx combustion gas turbine application fueled with the natural gas mixed with over 50% hydrogen. The 100% hydrogen-fueled gas turbine has entered the technological no-man's land. The 100% hydrogen-fueled gas turbines developed by Marvel-Tech have achieved the breakthrough in this technical field.


The power generation ranges from tens of kilowatts to tens of megawatts, which is suitable for various carbon neutral application scenarios such as distributed energy, rail transit, ship power, vehicle power, energy storage and peak shaving.

The developed gas turbine has the advantages of zero carbon emission, green and clean new energy technology, quick start-up and shut-down, suitable for peak shaving power generation, high integrated efficiency of heat and electricity (more than 80%), exhaust gas utilization for producing the industrial steam and long life (overhaul period of more than 48,000 hours).
